Rudi Vata: The damage that Armando Duka has done to Albanian football in these

Former captain of the Albanian National Team, Rudi Vata has made accusations against the head of the Albanian Football Federation, Armando Duka. In a statement to the media from the city of Shkodra, he said that the damage done to football in these 20 years is irreparable, as Albania has emerged as the country with the most cheating teams in the history of world football.

Excerpts from the interview given to local media:

- How do you see the race and can Armando Duka leave after many, many years at the helm of FSHF?

Rudi Vata: I see football as a sport. Football is a profession where success is achieved through hard work, sacrifice, what it does in the field of training, dedication and all the energy it expends. In general, football is seen as a gambling game and in general the people who have invested in football in Albania have not had anything to do with football and of course there are people who have contributed to building a football that in my opinion and yours, I'm sure you know better the phenomenon, Albanian football is a football that has been historically rigged. We have emerged as the country with the most cunning team in the history of world football. Our champion team, the best of the last decade, has been sentenced to 10 years of non-participation in European cups. Of course he also received a fat fine. This football, that they have shown that they have achieved some success in the achievements of the Albanian club in the qualifying groups, I think it is part of a wrong structure and I think that this kind of football should no longer exist for the very fact that the youth the younger generations are growing if they grow up thinking that a football match is easier to manipulate than to win; by way of trickery, rather than by training, I think this is not called sport.

- What do you think about FSHF?

Rudi Vata: I think they are all products of the Albanian system. The Albanian system has shown that it is not fair and honest. It is not a system of people who have clear programs and strategies. It is a system where cheating is a normal part and the race will certainly be who will be the one who will try to throw it to the other and come out the winner through manipulation, cheating and even through politics to be in charge of an institution that needs people who really know, understand, value and sacrifice for football.
