A large European study on vehicle reliability and customer satisfaction has yielded interesting results.
The survey, conducted by Test Aankoop, a Belgian consumer protection organization, observed the behavior of some 60,000 drivers in Belgium, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
As has resulted in two previous surveys in 2020 and 2018, Lexus turned out to be the most reliable vehicle brand. In only 6 percent of cases the owners of these vehicles had to have the car serviced during the warranty period. Subaru and Toyota rank second and third.
European brands, even expensive German ones, do not stand out for good performance. The top nine are occupied by Japanese and Korean manufacturers, only in tenth place is the first European: Seat, closely followed by Dacia and Skoda.
The least reliable brands are the three manufacturers of electric cars; Jaguar, Land Rover, Alfa Romeo and Tesla as the worst positioned brands with only 60% of vehicles not undergoing early service.
