The new Tirana City Council has started to function fully. At yesterday's meeting of the Tirana City Council was approved the decision to establish permanent committees and their composition. According to this decision, there will be 14 permanent committees in the Tirana City Council covering all areas of responsibility, starting with the Committee on Legal Affairs and Social Justice, the Committee on Finance and Budget, the Committee on Culture and the Ministry of Culture. Tourism, the Committee on Public Safety and Civil Emergencies or even the Committee on Productive Activity and Entrepreneurship.
An innovation in the standing committee structure for this mandate is the creation of a standing committee on technology and innovation. The Standing Committees of the Council shall consist of not less than 5 members but not more than 9 members.
