Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today from Vlora that the new airline "Air Kosova" will soon start flights from Kukes airport.
During the statement, Rama emphasized that the Kukes airport has encountered difficulties due to technical specifications and the lack of air operators, but expressed optimism for the future:
"For those who say that this is a "fake" flight that is done for propaganda and then the airport will remain like Kukes. That airport has had its own challenge in securing the operators, there are problems with the landing corridor, it is not a simple airport. An "icebreaker" that will prove that that airport is worth it has not been found in time. We will soon have a new Albanian company that will start flights at Kukes airport. "Air Kosova" will be this company, with two aircraft of our common pride. The company was registered in January of this year and is working to secure the aircraft. I will not give a date because I have learned that these dates that I give bring in the evil eye", said Rama.
