It was 1997 and the comedy "Fools Rush In" with co-star Salma Hayek. The film told the story of character Alex Whitman, an architect who traveled to Las Vegas to oversee a project. There he meets Isabel (Salma Hayek), a photographer with whom he spends a night. They do not look at each other for months until Isabel contacts Alex to tell him that she is pregnant and expecting a baby from him. They both decide to get married for the sake of the child and have a normal marriage. In the sequel the two begin to feel for each other, but are afraid to accept it.
The film was very common for two actors so well known. It was rated minimally at Rotten Tomatoes by 34% and was also poorly rated by critics. Someone once wrote: This is the kind of movie in which you would rather watch commercials.
